Neighbourhood Gallery has an open call for a show later this year. We invite and welcome your submissions. Submission details are below, followed by technical specs.
We do not charge a submission fee and take no commission. We do not insure work, but the galleries are in a Unitarian Universalist Church. If the work is sold during the show we take no commission, however being a charitable organization we would gladly accept a donation that could be 10 – 20% of the price of the piece. Donations of $20 or more will be issued a charitable tax receipt. These donations helps to maintain the gallery walls, etc. The Curator will create an invitation and send it to all of the artists and promote the show through Neighbourhood and environs. You are encouraged to invite guests, use your own social media networks and come to the opening and closing. All sales happen directly via the artist therefore preferred contact information will be on a label.
We look forward to your submission(s). Deadline date below is firm; no exceptions as the schedule is tight. For more general information, please view our Gallery Submission Guidelines and Info.

Open Call for
Group Show: Abstract Thoughts as Paintings
Submission Deadline: May 1
Works must be abstract paintings, idea-driven, not just technique-driven (no photography please) as the main subject. Work can be in any 2D media provided it is mounted with a wire backing; As it is hung from a chain with an “s” hook this is a must. Works need to be generally less than 2′ in height, 3′ in width. Smaller is better for the space and sale of your work. We can have a few larger pieces as well.
Email email@example.com: up to 5 submissions, jpeg(s) no larger than 1000 x 700 pixels, at 300 dpi, as attachment(s). One may become part of the show invitation, provided you approve. Also submit a list of all works, listing title(s), your name, media, size, year and asking price if for sale, and contact info phone or email. This will be needed for display labels. Please enter subject of email as Abstract Thoughts as Paintings Submission.
Once accepted by curator (by email notice), drop off work by Apr 7 (with clearly marked labels on front and back with title and your name).
