The Caring Network is about … Grace
We help people grow spiritually, share action and care for our world by:
Being Compassionate and
- Supporting a community connection
- Remembering that the giving and receiving of care is a spiritual practice
- Offering normal tangible support when we lose our way or struggle with life.
We can all offer care and accept care. This means the giver and the receiver can both experience grace in the full spectrum of life. There is a rhythm of grace in the giving and receiving of care. It is a gift to both the giver and the receiver; it replenishes the hearts of both. This rhythm of connection cultivates a generosity of spirit that makes our community abundant and loving. Many people step up every day to help one another. This ministry depends on the dedication and compassion of many seen and unseen individuals.
Members of the Caring Network help the minister in identifying and meeting the pastoral needs of the congregation. We ask the congregation to notice the joys and sorrows of our congregation family so we can offer care. The Caring Network links members and friends of the congregation to provide limited care and assistance to one another on a one-to-one basis in times of transition and difficulty.
