Compassion II: Movie and Internet Resources

Groundhog Day   (2015)
with Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell, Chris Elliott
Groundhog Day (which won four awards) was written by Danny Rubin as a way to make the concepts of Buddhism and spiritual growth through reincarnation more accessible to a mainstream audience. Let’s just say, it is all about learning how to be compassionate and act on compassion by practicing and practicing until you get it well! One of my favourites.

Hotel Rwanda   (2004)
with Don Cheadle, Sophie Okonedo, Joaquin Phoenix
The true story of an ethnic Hutu hotel manager who sheltered over a thousand Tutsi refugees during the genocide inflicted by Hutu militia.

Reconnecting with Compassion
by Krista Tippett, 15 min, on Ted Talks
