Peace is a concept that is often misunderstood. We confuse peace with being free of conflict and calmness. December can be a time of sheer joy but it can also prime us for anger, frustration and hurt. For some, the holiday season is a reminder of how much we love and cherish our families. We anxiously wait for people to arrive who we haven’t seen in a while. For others, this season is a reminder of those who will no longer be sitting at the dinner table, regardless of the reason.
This holiday season, you might find peace within the family by resolving a long–standing conflict. Or, you might engage with the sadness by sharing talk about a loved one you’ve lost. Take the opportunity to not brush things under the carpet, but use them as a growth opportunity.
