Families Growing Together: Welcome – Two New Advisors

by Margaret Evans, Director of Lifespan Learning

March means March Break. This can be a stressful time for families who have to find childcare and appropriate activities. Attending service with your children will engage them in deep spiritual encounters and offer you an hour for the same. Please join us over the March Break when the Kids’ program is in full swing.

March is also an exciting month for our Lifespan Learning Community. We are welcoming two new youth advisors, Melanie Warren and Cole Preston, who will start up our Youth Group again. All youth ages 13+ are welcome to attend.

We are also engaging in several Intergenerational Services and Activities together. On Sunday March 19th we will be delving into a new realm of service style. Using various stations with different activities, both children and adults will practice mindfulness through the sharing of compassionate actions and chants.

The following Sunday March 26th, we have musical guest Clara Hilts joining us for an Intergenerational Service of songs and stories of compassion. All are welcome to attend.

Movie for Children: The Indian in the Cupboard, 1995, for Age 7+. This is a tender and compelling fantasy about friendship and compassion that tweens will thoroughly enjoy.
