Debb is excited to be working as the co-director of the Lifespan Learning Program at NUUC. As a children’s mental health professional, she brings over 32 years of experience supporting parents, grandparents, children and youth as well as helping professionals and teachers. She has co-developed and delivered a number of innovative children’s groups (Being Social, Drumplay, Outside In) and parenting groups and workshops (Landscapes of Anxiety, Life as A Parent). Debb is also happy to share the knowledge she brings from several years of coordinating the Children’s Program at Ruah-an eco-centered spiritual community.
Debb holds an MA in Child and Youth Care from Ryerson University, is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, a Certified Theraplay ™ Therapist through the Theraplay Institute in Chicago, and a certified trainer for Child & Youth Care Practitioners in the Daily Life Events (DLE) model of care.
Debb also has a private practice, provides counselling through Skylark’s walk-in clinics part-time and is the Field Placement Coordinator/ Instructor in the MA CYC program Ryerson University.
